Very nice and convenient! I was looking for a standalone calendar program to integrate with gnome’s clock applet, when I came across a site mentioning sunbird, which is what I was looking for—sans integration, albeit that’s a moz FRE. BTW, I did find a few bugs—apologies if this isn’t the proper forum, or if they’re against a different package (eg sunbird itself): Gnome Menu Entry—listed it as "Sunbird Mail Client" with a tooltip of "Read and write your email" in the category "Internet". While this is understandable as (iirc) it was derived from Thunderbird, I think it more appropriate as "Sunbird Calendar ___ (something)" with a tooltip borrowed from Evolution and in the same category as Evolution ("Office"?). Calendar Creation—New Local Calendar Dialog has a "Back" button, but it doesn’t exactly work as such. It was handy to create several new calendars though. Also, "cancel" didn’t delete any of the new calenders either—just exited the dialog (as expected). Probably a sunbird bug. Window Icon—The gnome menu has an icon for sunbird, but the application itself doesn’t use it. Don’t know if that’s debian specific, or whatnot… Get New Themes/Extensions/et all—Opens addons.mozilla.org, but not with the appropriate sunbird ENV. I managed to view the handful of extensions with: https://addons.mozilla.org/?application=sunbird Likely a mozilla bug. Again, sorry about the probable mozilla bugs, but it was easier to list them all here… Thanks for maintaining the debian package! Lastly, the "spam prevention image" is difficult to read. Granted, that’s the intention, but given the font, it’s hard for even humans to make distinctions, eg: is that a k or an h with a pixel removed? Yes indeed a packaging bug … will fix this with the next upload. QUOTE: Calendar CreationNew Local Calendar Dialog has a "Back" button, but it doesnt exactly work as such. Will look for a way to use it for the application windows too. QUOTE: Lastly, the "spam prevention image" is difficult to read. I will try to figure out how to improve this. Though cannot promise, that this can be easily fixed. Thanks for your feedback, – asac |
