[Security Info] Thunderbird apparently on its way into sarge

While many might have wondered what’s up with thunderbird security, here the good news:

Thunderbird is currently in the security buildd network and will eventually be pushed to debian’s security release network.

For those interested in testing the upcoming thunderbird release, grab it from:

I am working on procedures to make future security updates happen in a more timely manner. Hopefully, I can publish more details on this in soon.
