Hi Alex! Are you working with the security team to update the versions for sarge? Do you know a date for that security update? Thanks. Ralph Ralph, Yes, we are working to get those fixes backported. The patch is rather huge so it takes some time and the way mozilla documents their patches is not as perfect as it might be. I hope to get those patches ready ASAP. But since some bugs are still embargoed (-> http://www.mozilla.org/security/announce/mfsa2005-56.html) this is not as easy as it should be Alex, thanks. And yes, the embargoed bug reports make it difficult to assess the risk for us users. It’s hard to believe that Mozilla is locking out debian maintainers as well as casual readers. |
