New: connman in ubuntu

Some might have noticed, but I think its still worth to bloggonouce that packages for connman and connman-gnome are available in the jaunty universe now.

Remember that its a good idea to stop NetworkManager

CODE:

sudo /etc/init.d/NetworkManager stop

and restart connman

CODE:

sudo /etc/init.d/connman restart

before testing this.

I remember seeing connman screenshots somewhere… would you remind us of the link(s) ?

Alex, how this will affect network-manager development? Will connman replace it in gnome environment or in ubuntu?

connman is still at early stage and current development is not focussed on desktop, but rather mobile devices. So for now there is no intention to integrate that in gnome, but in the end we hope that both projects will benefit from each other.
