Seems like Firefox3 is a huge step in the right direction. I can’t wait for it to get out of beta and into wide release Don’t forget to re-link your plugins from /usr/lib/firefox/plugins to /usr/lib/firefox-addons/plugins. Flash, Java, mplayer, and ooo plugins show up again in about:plugins. Note, I haven’t tested them all yet (hoping FF3 would sort of check like it does extensions!). Also, can’t seem to get FF3 to start in online mode each time I start. Any ideas? Damn they re-screwedup that certificate exception adding thing. Browsers simply should not connect to sites with inherently broken certificates, it is not safe. Period. I hope it at least requires some 5+ "are you REALLY sure?" dialogs. |
